Virginia Dare Harris

Virginia D. Harris, 86, lifelong resident of Dinwiddie, passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018. She was the daughter of the late Horace Lingerfelt and Virginia Leslie Lingerfelt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis C. Harris, Sr.; son, Richard; and sister, Bertha. She is survived by her son, Lewis and his wife, Natalina; daughter, Diane and her husband, Raymond; grandchildren, Lewis, Christina, Raymond, Nicholas and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Christian, Joshua and Kaiden; longtime companion, William; sisters, Frances and Evelyn. Virginia was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly. She will be missed by all the lives she touched. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. There will be a reception from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Dinwiddie Moose Lodge, 7212 Boydton Plank Rd., Dinwiddie, VA 23803.
