Virginia Underwood Price

Virginia Underwood Price, 98, of Dinwiddie County, widow of Hubert Randolph Price, passed away Saturday, April 04, 2015. Born in Boykins, VA, she was the daughter of the late Percy James and Addie Pearl Grammer Underwood. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Garrett Scott Price, and her brothers, Logan C. Underwood and Quimby Underwood. Mrs. Price retired from Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company after 25 years of service. She was a charter member of Western Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of the Dorcas Bible Class. She was also a member of the Super Seniors group and the Crater Chapter 1399 of AARP. Mrs. Price is survived by her son, Edward Y. Price and wife, Patricia K. Price; grandchildren, Brian Paul Price and wife, Rebecca, Joseph A. Lewis, III and wife, Rebecca, and Nikole K. Sarvay and husband, John; great-grandchildren, Britney Price and Carter Price, and their mother, Mary Albert, Ayden Price, Baker Lewis, Caroline Lewis, Thea Sarvay, and Jack Sarvay. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Western Heights Baptist Church, 24416 Cox Road, N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803. Interment will follow at Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Dinwiddie Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 6616 Boydton Plank Road, N. Dinwiddie, VA 23803.
