Virginia Louise Sizemore

Virginia Mitchem Sizemore “Ginny”, 79, of Hopewell, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017. Born to the late, Carl G. and Betty Altizer Mitchem. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, James T. Sizemore; and her brothers, Ben David Mitchem, Carl Mitchem Jr., and Dan Mitchem. Ginny is survived by her daughter, Susie Ivy and her husband, Bubba; son, James David Sizemore and his wife, Robin; grandchildren, Chanda Corkrean, Nicole Burton, Tracy Griffith and her husband, John, Mary Sizemore; great-grandchildren, Avery Corkrean, Makenzie Burton, Mason Burton; great-granddog, Bella; sister, Carol Lowe and her husband, Carl; sisters-in-law, Ruth Mitchem, Mary Rakes, and her husband, Richard, Dorothy Mitchem; and numerous other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Calvary’s Love Ministries 118 S 11th Ave, Hopewell, VA 23860 with interment to follow in Bermuda Memorial Park.
