Virginia Smith

Virginia Lee Brown Smith, 77, of Petersburg, died Saturday, April 3, 2004. She was the daughter of the late W. Kilby and Virginia Bowman Brown and the widow of William Roy Smith. She was a member of the Petersburg Garden Club, Garden Club of Va., Jr. Federated Womans Club and Petersburg General Hospital Twigs. She is survived by a Daughter; Virginia Lee Smith McLauchlan, two sons; Robert W. N. Smith Sr, and wife Patricia and R. Blackwell Smith; six grandchildren, Susan Smith McCain and husband Scott, Anne Carree Smith, Robert W. N. Smith, Jr., Virginia Lee McLauchlan, Stuart Blackwell McLauchlan and W. Roy Smith; and a great grandchild, Brennan Kirkland Joiner. Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 6, 2004 at St. Pauls Episcopal Church at 11:00 A. M., with the Rev. D. Donald Dunn III officiating. Interment will follow in Blandford Cemetery. The family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 8:00 p.m. at the Petersburg chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 110 Union Street, Petersburg, Va. 23803.
