Viva Lucille "Pete" Merry

Viva Lucille “Pete” Merry, 72, of South Prince George, passed away on Saturday, October 9, 2021. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew P. Taylor and Lyndon L. Graham Taylor; loving husband of over 29 years, Alton E. Merry; and sisters, Doris T. Seaver and Sarah T. Dailey. Viva was a beautician at House of Burgess in Petersburg, VA. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Viva is survived by her daughter, Carroll Lynn Merry; son, David Andrew Merry; grandchildren, Alisa Merry and Leo Merry; sisters, Fran Fulton (Chuck) and Mary T. Brown; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 6-8 PM at J.T. Morriss & Son – Hopewell Chapel, 820 W. Broadway Ave. A funeral service will take place in the chapel on Thursday, October 14 at 2 PM, with interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
