Vivian Carraway

Vivian Rainey Carraway passed away on May 31, 2009. She was born on April 16th, 1921. Vivian was preceded in death by her parents Charles Wellington and Almentine (Allie) Abernathy Rainey, her husband, Randolph Irvin Carraway, a son, Richard Wellington Carraway, and a grandson, Paul Randolph Carraway. She is survived by a son, Randolph Gary Carraway, her grandchildren, Aimee Peterson, Ashlee Kemp, Matthew Carraway, Mark Carraway, and Leslie Carraway, numerous great-grandchildren, and her sister, Almentine Phipps. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, June 3rd, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, June 4th, in the funeral home chapel with the Reverend Darwood Rowan officiating. Special thanks are given to the care-givers at Hopewell Health Care Center where Vivian spent the last few months.
