Vivian Coonfield

Vivian Lee Coonfield, age 67, of Dinwiddie passed away of cancer on November 21, 2010. She is the daughter of late Hensel Heath Sr. and Pauline Whitehead Heath. Mrs. Coonfield is a loving and dedicated wife who played a vital role in her husbandâ??s 23-year Army career. During their loyal service to our country, she acted as a main point of contact between the soldiers, their families, and the 2nd Battalion staff. After their retirement from the military, she was a dedicated employee of J.C. Pennyâ??s, for nearly 20 years. Through it all she remained an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Coonfield is survived by her husband of 42 years, Lt. Colonel Derrill G. Coonfield (retired); two children, Scott R. Coonfield & wife Lori, Kelly J. Gottlieb & husband Justin, four grandchildren, Lindsey R. & Steven C. Coonfield, Emma F. & Elizabeth A. Gottlieb; sister Paula Faye Funderburg & husband Tommy; and her brother Hensel â??Buckâ? Heath Jr.; A celebration of Vivianâ??s life will be held on Tuesday November 23rd at J.T. Morriss & Son funeral home located at 103 S. Adams Street in Petersburg, VA. Viewing is from 1pm-3pm with a short service to follow.
