Vivian Lail

Vivian Sessums Lail, 69, of Dinwiddie died at her residence on Wednesday, March 10, 2004 following a brief illness. Mrs. Lail was born in Blackstone, a daughter of the late David L. and Martha Watson Sessums. She was retired from Titmus Optical Company and was an Elder of Greenwood Presbyterian Church. Also preceded in death by her husband, Toy Lee Lail, Sr., she is survived by 2 daughters and 1 son; Sylvia Lynn Godsy and her husband Vin of Ft. Collins, Col., Michael William Thompson and his wife Kathy of Texas, Linda Marie Roberts and her husband Bruce of Flordia, step-child, Diane Stevens and her husband Gaylan of Kentucky, Toy Lee Lail, Jr. and his wife Janice of Dinwiddie, 3 sisters and 1 brother; Virginia Baird and her husband Lonnie of Virginia Beach, Marylyn McQuage of Clemmons, NC, Joyce Berry and her husband Walter of Hopewell, David Sessums, Sr. and his wife Joanne of Dinwiddie and numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 11 AM on Monday, March 15th in the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with her pastor Rev. D. Thomas Lowman officiating assisted by Chaplin Graham Patterson of Crater Community Hospice. The interment will follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 PM.
