Vivian Sylvester

Vivian Irene Sylvester, 93, of Amelia, formerly of Hopewell departed this life on Friday, December 30, 2005. She was the widow of Anthony Joseph Sylvester, Sr. She is survived by her sons, Anthony Joseph Sylvester, Jr. and wife, Constance of Hopewell, David George Sylvester of Goochland and one daughter, Rose S. Gouyer and husband Clarence D. Gouyer, Jr. of Amelia; her 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 2, 2006 at 10 a.m. at St. John?s Catholic Church in Dinwiddie. Interment will follow at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens in Prince George. The family will receive friends from 6 ? 8 p.m., Sunday, January 1, 2006 at J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Petersburg with a memorial service beginning at 6:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John?s Catholic Church, 7215 Squirrel Level Road, Petersburg, Virginia 23805.
