Walker Douglas Blackburn

Walker Douglas Blackburn, 16, of Chesterfield, VA, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2023. He is survived by his father, Tony Blackburn and his mother, Jenne Higgins and her family; his brother, Hayden Blackburn; aunt, Tammy Powell and her family; paternal grandparents, Douglas and Ruthie Blackburn; and maternal grandmother, Peggy Kay.

Walker D was the most kind and helpful soul that anyone is privileged to have known. There is nothing he wouldn't have done to help someone in need or comfort someone in distress. He was incapable of a lie, whether it should be told or not, the truth was all he ever offered. The only thing that outweighed his love for video games is the love for his family that he expressed so deeply. He wanted nothing more than to spend his time around those he cared about, helping in whatever way he knew how. He will be missed by all but the effect he had on those who knew him will be everlasting.

Walker's family will receive friends for visitation at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home.
