Walter Cook

Walter Alfred Cook, 68, of Sutherland, died Monday, June 20, 2011. Born in Bayonne, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Leo and Helen Hinton Cook. Mr. Cook retired after 20 years of active duty service in the U. S. Army, serving with the 82nd Airborne during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Kazue Cook; daughter, Kathy Cook Kleinhenz and husband, Karl of Roanoke, VA; son, David Cook and wife, Colleen of Richmond; grandchildren, Katelyn, Kyler and Keriann Kleinhenz, and Ava Cook; sister, Joyce Smith and her husband, Charlie of New Jersey; brother, Kenneth Cook of Richmond. A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 27th at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
