Walter Thomas Johnson

Walter Thomas "Tommy" Johnson, 79, of Disputanta, passed away on Tuesday, June 7, 2022. Born in Chesterfield County, VA, he was the son of the late Robert L. Johnson and Vera Louise Harmon. He was also preceded in death by his beloved wife, Peggy Barksdale Johnson; brother, Danny Johnson; and uncle, Billy Dixon.
He is survived by his children, Gregory Spease, Karen Spease, Karl "Bubba" Harvey, Nelson Harvey, Sheila Drown, Betsy Gibson, and Linda Wells Springstube; numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews; and aunt, Doris Dixon.
Tommy was a U.S. Navy Veteran. He went on to work for Allied Chemical, retiring after many years. He loved going fishing, boating, and antiquing with his wife Peggy. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to St. Jude foundation. Condolences may be registered at jtmorriss.com.
