Walter Parrish

Walter Lee Parrish, 75, of Prince George, passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. He was retired from Stone Container, formerly Continental Can, after forty-four years of dedicated service. Mr. Parrish was an avid raccoon and rabbit hunter, and loved his hunting dogs. He was a loving father and grandfather. Mr. Parrish is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Lee and Inez King Parrish. He is survived by his children, Michael L. Parrish, Joyce Ann Lewis, Terri Lynn Farley, Shawn M. Parrish, Dennis W. Parrish and wife, Holly, Kenneth D. Parrish and wife, Jill, and Kimberly P. Hughes and husband, Tommy; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; sister, Lilly Mae Lewis; two nephews; and other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens.
