Mrs. Waltraud Kolschmann Docx, 77, of Prince George, VA departed this life on Sept.2, 2017. She lived a very full life, beginning in Germany where she was born, grew up and met and married her husband. After travelling throughout Europe and the United States as a devoted US Army wife, she settled in Prince George with her husband, raised her family and helped raise her grandchildren. She was the daughter of the late ,Franz and Klara Kolschmann of Munich, Germany. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Master Sargent Louis E. Docx and her son, Richard “Rick” Docx of Prince George. Waltraud was a devoted wife to her husband of 41 years, loving mother and grandmother to her family, and a loyal friend. She much enjoyed the company of her family and friends, loved working in her yard where she grew beautiful flowers, and took wonderful care of many pets over the years. She was a very giving and loving person. Waltraud is survived by her daughter, Patricia Englman and her husband, Steven; and their children, Stephanie and Marcus of Stafford, VA. She is also survived by her son, Norman Docx and his fiancée, Tammy Crites, of Prince George, VA. And she is survived by a grandson, Christopher Docx of South Hill, VA, son of Richard Docx. She is survived by her brother, Walter Kolschmann and his wife, Tina, both of Germany, and their son, Markus of Sweden; aunts, Karoline Sachs and Trude Kolschmann, their families, several cousins and extended family, all of Germany. From Belgium she is survived by her nephew, Rudy Teunissen his wife, Chris, and their daughter, Katrien; a sister-in-law, Yvonne Laurent and her children, and the extended family of her husband. Waltraud would like to recognize devoted friends, Sandy and Jack McMurchy and their family, and special friend Tammy Crites, all of Prince George. They helped immensely during her illness. Waltraud Docx will be greatly missed by her family and friends and her loving dog, Kate, who was her constant companion. She always had a soft spot for dogs and adopted numerous mutts and other animals that needed love and a good home. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, Sept. 11, 2017 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will take place at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
