Warren Saunders Jones Jr.

Warren Saunders Jones, Jr., 69, of Mechanicsville, VA passed away on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. Born in Auburn, Indiana he was the son of the late Dr. Warren S. Jones, Sr; and was also preceded in death by a sister, Beverly. Mr. Jones was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force having served during Vietnam. Throughout his career, he was a hardworking individual who fostered an environment of family and community, most recently during his time with Famous Dave’s. He was a member of Hopewell Church of Christ and a member of the VFW #9808 in Mechanicsville. Mr. Jones is survived by his mother, Dorothy Jones; three children, Casey Bivens, Sarah Bryant and husband, Ray and Erin Jones; nine grandchildren; a sister, Saundra Carter and husband, Dan; a brother, Alan Jones; and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the Hopewell Church of Christ. Interment with military honors will follow in Appomattox Cemetery, Hopewell, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
