Wayne Marvan

Wayne Roger Marvan, age 63, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2006. He was the son of the late Frank and Irene Gorak Marvan. After serving in the U. S. Army Mr. Marvan began working in the telephone industry and he retired from Ameritech Telephone Co. in Illinois after 30 years of service. He enjoyed working with his hands around the house and with model trains. His family was very important to him. He was a volunteer with the Chesterfield Historical Society and Telephone Pioneers of America in Florida. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Maria A. Marvan; his son, Anthony F. Marvan and wife Joan of Harker Heights, TX; two brothers, Richard Marvan and wife Nancy of Brookfield, IL and Allen Marvan and wife Gerry of Tinley Park, IL; two nephews, Scott and Danny Marvan; two nieces, Darlene Tomanich and husband Gary and Tricia Marvan; and two great nephews, Niko and Zachary Tomanich. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service on Friday, December 29, 2006 at 10 a.m. with a funeral service following at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Amelia Veterans Cemetery at 2 p.m. Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Central Area Office, P.
