Wayne Kirkwood Parrish

Wayne Kirkwood Parrish, 70, of Chester, passed away on Monday, May 16, 2022. Born in Richmond and raised in Bellwood Manor, he was the son of the late Douglas Parrish and Louise Ellington Parrish. He was also preceded in death by uncle, William Ellington; and aunts, Mildred Ellington and Lillian Ellington Beber.
Wayne Parrish was employed with DuPont as a Lab tech, retiring after 41 years. To know Wayne was to love Wayne. He was a gentle and kind soul, friend to all, enemy to none. Wayne loved to laugh and have fun and rarely passed up an invitation to do so. He was a loyal and devoted husband and father and a steady foundation of love and support for this family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Patricia Parrish; daughter, Megan Parrish; sisters-in-law, Josephine Bracken and husband, Frank, Frances Natoli, Maureen Taylor and husband, Danny, Eileen Jernigan and husband, Joe, and Sheila Burroughs; brother-in-law, Kevin Burroughs; several nieces and nephews; cousins, Brenda Ribblett and husband, Jay, and Edith May Armstrong and their children and grandchildren.
