Wayne Young

Wayne Wilson Young, age 87, of Chester, passed away December 14, 2011. He was the son of the late William C. and Charity May Young and was also preceded in death by his son-in-law, Michael Williamson. Mr. Young was a member for 59 years of Enon Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon. He also bravely served his country in the Army during WWII. He later worked for Allied Chemical and retired after many years of dedicated service. Mr. Young is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Kathleen O. Young; daughters, Kathy Kestner and her husband Coy, and Donna Williamson; son, Kenneth W. Young and wife Kathy; granddaughter, Jessica Williamson Finney and husband Sean; grandsons, Christopher Slusser and wife Stacy, Charlie Slusser, Kevin Young, Justin Williamson and wife Kate, and Adam Young; great-grandchildren, Brandon Slusser, Addyson Finney, and Payton Finney; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, December 16th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Chester chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with a funeral service on Saturday, December 17th at 2:00 pm at Enon Baptist Church, 13607 N. Enon Church Rd, Chester, VA.
