Webster Logan

Webster W. Logan, 79, a resident of Surry, died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at his home. Born May 6, 1930 in Surry, he was the son of the late Willie Webster Logan and Sadie Warren Logan. He is survived by his wife of 31 years Martha Ann Logan; a sister, Irma L. Hunnicutt and husband, Ronnie, of Surry; a step-daughter, Tina Marie Blamble of Norfolk; two step-sons, Robert Lee Davis, Jr. of Winchester, Douglas Eugene Davis of Norfolk; six step-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister, Betty L. Parker. Webster was a 1947 graduate of Surry High School and a member of Oak Grove United Methodist Church. He was a retired electrician, having worked for A. M. Savedge Company, Newport News for 33 years. He was a US Navy veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #160, Surry. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association, a skilled woodworker and an avid gardener. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday May 23, 2009 at Oak Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. The family will receive friends at the Purviance Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Wakefield on Friday evening from 6:00 â?? 8:00 PM. Memorial donations may be made to Oak Grove UMC, P. O.
