Welda Mitchem

Welda Randolph Mitchem, 82, of Pickett St. , Hopewell, died, Friday, January 16, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Bee Log, North Carolina, and had lived in this area since 1975.. Mrs Mitchem was predeceased by her parents, George G. and Eva Cooper Randolph, husband, Gilbert Henry Mitchem, a sister, Stella Randolph and brother Clinford Randolph. Surviving are two sons, Dennie”Junior” Mitchem, and wife Nadine of Hopewell, Donald R. Mitchem Sr. and wife, Georgia of Prince George, two daughters, Pauline M. Dodson and husband, Marvin of Courtland, Va., Evelyn M. Ent and husband Jim of Palmetto, Ga., a sister Althea Watts of Burnsville, NC, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from2-4PM in the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Monday, January 19, 2004 at 11AM in the Hopewell funeral chapel with Rev. Bill Mitchell ,pastor of the Church of God ,officiating.
