Wendell Maxwell Hopper

Wendell Maxwell Hopper, 80, of Chester, passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Born in Greenville SC, he was the son of the late Hugh Blalock and Pauline Hopper. Wendell is survived by his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth “Betty” Hopper; daughter, Michelle D. Bennett and her husband, Matthew; son, Michael D. Hopper and his wife, Vicki; grandchildren, Isabella N. Bennett, Maximillian S. Bennett, and Brooke L. Hopper; sister, Linda Cody of Colorado; brother-in-law, John W. McGee; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A memorial service will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Doug Echols, officiating.
