Wiley Sr. Radcliff

Wiley Eben Radcliff, Sr., 87, of Hopewell died Friday, September 5, 2008 in Riverview on the Appomattox Nursing Home. He was born in Beaufort County, NC and had been a long time resident of Hopewell. Mr. Radcliff served in the U. S. Navy during WWII and was a retired building inspector for Central State Hospital and worked as a carpenter for the union in Hopewell . He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Joseph and Irene Williams Radcliff, his wife Marguerite Dale Radcliff, a son, Richard Radcliff and a great granddaughter, Morgan F. Griffin. Mr. Radcliff is survived by two daughters, Joan R. Lambert and her husband Charles of Hopewell, Barbara R. Levine and her husband Ray of Chester, a son, Wiley E. Radcliff, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Hopewell, six grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a brother Henry â??Scooterâ? Webb of Hopewell. The family will receive friends, Monday, September 8, 2008 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Wayne Rickman, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating.
