Wilford Howard

Wilford W. Howard, 92, of Dinwiddie, passed away Sunday, June 15, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. Born June 15, 1916 in Rockville, VA, (Hanover County), he was the son of the late John William and Gertrude Puryear Howard. Mr. Howard is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia S. Howard; three sisters, Frances Stansbury and Delzelle Stanley of Rockville, VA, and Dorothy Hollins of Montpelier, VA. He is also survived by three grandchildren by choice, Martha Ann Burton, Steven Burton and Richard Burton; and many friends. He was owner and operator of W. W. Howard Sawmill for 40 years. A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 18, at Southlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Carl Weaver officiating.
