William ?Bill? Marshall Andrews, Sr.,70. went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2005. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina on March 19, 1934 but had lived most of his life in this area. He was a 1955 graduate of Randolph Macon College where he was a member of Lamba Chi Alpha Fraternity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, E. Marshall and Kathleen C. Andrews and a daughter, Katherine L. Andrews. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Charlotte H. Andrews; two sons,
W. Marshall Andrews, Jr. and his wife, Christine, of Chester, and Thomas C. Frazier of Virginia Beach; two daughters, Becky Salisbury and her husband, Kent, and Bonnie Barbini, both of Hopewell; six grandchildren, Will and Alex Andrews, Brandon and Anthony Barbini, Jennifer Durham, and Erin
Lipscomb, and two great grandchildren, Jesse Powell and Kenny Barbini.
He retired from Civil Service at Fort Lee in 2002 after 42 years. He served in the United States Army, was a member of the American Legion Post 146, and was an active member of Wesley United Methodist Church.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m., Tuesday evening at the J.T, Morriss Funeral Home in Hopewell where a service to celebrate his life will be held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. The Reverend Teresa M. Keezel, pastor of Wesley United Methodist Church, will officiate. Interment will be in Merchant?s Hope Memorial Gardens..
