William Blake Baucom went to be with our LORD on December 10th, 2020, at the age of 27.
Blake was born on May 23, 1993, and raised in Chesterfield County, Virginia. As the firstborn son and grandson, Blake was a kind and sweet child. He carried that temperament throughout his life. Blake was always ready with a supportive word and an offer to help in any way that he could. He thought of others, he was a kind man to all, and he had a way of connecting with people across all generations. He had a special place in his heart for animals, and was a sucker for a cute puppy… aren’t we all?
His time with us was too brief, and we have been so fortunate to have had him in our lives. He is loved, he will be missed, and he will hold a special place in our hearts forever. We are sure he is now with the LORD and will join both of his grandfathers, Donald (Papa) Rowe and William Douglas (Pops) Baucom. They are waiting with open arms.
He is survived by his mother and father, Kristy and Mike Baucom, his siblings Kelly Baucom Smith, Matthew Baucom, and Reilly Baucom, his two grandmothers Sylvia “Granny” Baucom, Sara “Nana” Rowe and Peggy “Nana Peggy” Campbell (his additional grandmother of the heart) and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.
Services for Blake will be limited to family and internment will be private. A livestreamed memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 4, 2021. The livestream feed can be accessed at the J. T. Morriss and Son website at
