BELL, William F. of Richmond, born in St. Louis, MO, went to be with the Lord on May 19, 2015. A loving husband, father and grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Barbara; his son, Russell and his wife, Sandra; his daughter, Kim and her husband, Jeff; and their grandchildren, Andrew, Rebekah, Jack, Kristin and her husband, Blayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Marguerite Bell; his sister, Marjorie Grufman and his brother, Richard Bell.
Bill graduated from Bradley University where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. He served as an Ensign in the United States Navy with the “Seabees” and upon leaving military service, he worked for DuPont in Colorado and Utah. Later he moved to Hopewell, Virginia where he worked for Hercules and then started his dream job as a consulting engineer and partner with Austin Brockenbrough and Associates.
Bill was an avid golfer but his greatest love was the Lord and his family. His passion was sharing his faith and teaching about the love of Christ and His gift of salvation.
A memorial service will be held at Cornerstone Assembly of God church in Chester on June 7, 2015 at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Cornerstone Community Bible Project. Donations can be made on-line at
