William B. Bennett, Jr., 59, of Montpelier, VA, passed away January 16, 2025. He was preceded in death by his mother, Doris Jane Bennett. He graduated in 1983.
He loved music of all genres but 80's heavy metal was his ultimate favorite. He played many instruments including guitar and piano; however playing drums was his passion. He was in a couple bands in his early 20's and still played drums up until the very end. He always said he was a Jack of All Trades but a Master of None. The main profession he excelled at was Fire Safety Architectural Design. His dad taught him all he knew of this trade and truly enjoyed working beside him son many jobs through the years.
Billy Jr. (Will) is survived by his wife of 17 years, Tia Bennett; daughters, Heather and Morgan; son, Chris; stepchildren, Brittney (James), Andrew (Chelsey), and Hannah; and five grandchildren, Maverick, Archie, Rowan, Clara, and Weston. He is also survived by his dad, Billy, Sr.; brother, Jamie; and nephew, Jarrett; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Kidney Foundation. There will be a celebration of life service at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home - Chester Chapel, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA, on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11 a.m.
