William Edward Burnette Sr.

William Edward Burnette Sr., 80, of Chester, passed away on Monday, February 25, 2013. He was the owner and operator of Burnette Insurance Agency in Chester for over thirty years. Mr. Burnette was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey J. and Viola C. Young Burnette; and a brother, Vonell Burnette and his wife, Doris. He is survived by his wife of over forty years, Carol Jeanne Burnette; daughter, Linda C. Stancill and her husband, Dail; grandchildren, Mallory, Elliott, and Tyler; brothers, Paul C. Burnette and his wife, Margaret, and Charles H. Burnette and his wife, Joan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2013 at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, 3050 W. Hundred Road, Chester, VA 23831. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Kingsland Baptist Church, 8801 Perrymont Road, Richmond, VA 23237. Interment will be private.
