William "Bill" H. Dalton, 70, of Colonial Heights, VA, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 19, 2022. Born in Petersburg, VA and raised in Blackstone, he was the son of the late Harley and Ruthella Dalton; and was also preceded in death by one brother, Stephen Dalton. Bill was a 1971 graduate of Nottoway High School and has worked most of his life in retail management. He had been employed with Amazon since 2015 as a Training Ambassador. He was a dedicated and active member of Swift Creek Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir and also sang many songs at Sunday morning services. He was selfless to his last breath and was always putting others before himself, especially his wife and children. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Pamela Greer Dalton; two daughters, Devon Westmoreland (Brandon) and Lindsay Cliborne (Matthew); his grandchildren, Braeden Westmoreland, Clayton Cliborne, Cole Westmoreland, Emersyn Cliborne and Kipton Cliborne; two brothers, Kenneth Dalton (Sheri) and Douglas Dalton; sister-in-law, Cindy Miller (Paul); and numerous nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Swift Creek Baptist Church, 18510 Branders Bridge Rd., S. Chesterfield, VA 23834 with the Rev. Andrew Cheatham officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022 at the church.
