William David Depoy, Sr., 80, of Dinwiddie County, entered eternal rest Monday, March 27, 2006 at his residence. Born in Czar, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Charles and Della House Depoy. Mr. Depoy retired after 20 years of service in the U. S. Navy, serving in WWII and the Korean Conflict and was a retired civil service employee from the Defense General Supply Center at Bellwood. He was a member of the Navy Fleet Reserve Branch 219, Richmond, DAV Post 47, Petersburg, American Legion Post 289, Colonial Heights and Living Stone Baptist Church in Dinwiddie. Mr. Depoy is survived by his wife, Julia ?Jewel? Hudson Depoy; daughters, Deborah McLaughlin (Myles) of Dinwiddie, Linda W. Eade (Raymond) of Unionville, VA and Celeste Bryant (Ernie) of Little Torch Key, FL; sons, William David Depoy, Jr. (Gwen) of Dinwiddie and Michael A. White of Blairs, VA; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Charles Depoy, Walter Depoy and Wesley Depoy all of West Virginia; and sister, Mary Depoy Russell of Illinois. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 PM Wednesday, March 29 at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
