William Edwin "Ed" Edmonds

William Edwin “Ed” Edmonds, 81, a resident of Dinwiddie, VA, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Rosa Edmonds; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his loving wife of over 61 years, Peggy Watkins Edmonds; children, Eddie Ray Edmonds; and Deborah Snyder and husband Cy; grandchildren, Shawn Snyder and wife Michele, Stephanie Clark and husband Ricky; great grandchildren, Erika and Trey Clark, Jimmy and Joey Suarez; sisters, Alice Collier, Margaret Hobgood, Lucille Robbins and husband Barney and Anne Shearin; brothers, Roy Edmonds and wife Roberta, Harold Edmonds and wife Joyce; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Ed retired as a truck driver after more than 44 years on the road. He enjoyed gardening, spending time with his family and being active in his church, as a deacon. A visitation will be held at the Smyrna Baptist Church on Thursday , September 22, 2016 from 11am-1p.m. 18971 Carson Road Dinwiddie, VA 23841. A Celebration of Ed’s life will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2016 1:00 P.M. at the church. A graveside will follow at 3 p.m. in Dale Memorial Park.
