William Elliott

William Samuel Elliott, age 83, of Hopewell, VA, died on Saturday, April 17, 2010. He was born in Oxford, NC, the son of the late Zeblon V. and Lonie Wilkerson Elliott. Mr. Elliott was a member of Rivers Edge Bible Church for 25 years, and also served as a past deacon. He was a retired SFC with the U. S. Army, serving our country for over 21 years. Mr. Elliott is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Dorothy C. Elliott; two sons, Williams S. Elliott, Jr. and Charles V. Elliott and wife, Lee; four grandsons, Charles V. Elliott, Jr. and wife, Carrie, Joshua Elliott, Zack Elliott, and Nicholas Elliott; a great grandson, Curtis Elliott; and four sisters, Lucia Sherrian, Eisebell Gandy, Marquite West, and Maxine Ball. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Monday, April 19, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside funeral services will follow on Tuesday, April 20, at 1 p.m. in the Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, VA.
