William Grant Fidler Jr. "Hillbilly"

William Grant Fidler, Jr. “Hillbilly”, devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, 52, of Waverly, Virginia, departed this life on Wednesday, December 5, 2012. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Melvin and Sylvia Fidler and his maternal grandparents, Clifton and Irene Weaver; and uncle, Richard Fidler. Bill served his country proudly as a U.S. Marine and was an avid outdoorsman. He was employed with Norfolk Southern Railroad for the past 30 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 17 years, Nancy Lee Fidler; sons, Josh and Nick Sheffield; faithful companion, “Gizmo”; parents, William G. Fidler, Sr. and his wife, Sue and Lois W. Koons, and her husband, Ken; sisters, Laurie Fidler-Bower and Michele Eck; brother, Tom Fidler; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Sandy Belcher; brother-in-law, Larry Belcher and his wife, Caralee; sisters-in-law, Katy Belcher and Loren Piotrowski and her husband, Frank; nieces, Jamie Brown, Melissa Huling, Kaitlin Fidler, Rachel Piotrowski; nephews, Kenny Frey, Adam Frey, Ben Huling, Hunter Fidler , Lawrence Belcher and Jake Piotrowski; special friends, Eddie Vick and family, Mack Dunn and family, Jim Matthews and family, Barry Garver and family, and the Community Hunt Club members; and many devoted aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Family will receive friends on Thursday December 13, 2012 from 4-8:00 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home. His funeral service will be held Friday, December 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be held in Pennsylvania.
