William Henry Funk, Iv

William "Bill" Henry Funk, IV entered his eternal home to be with his earthly father, William Henry Funk, III. on April 18, 2022. He is survived by his mother, Judith C. Funk, of Richmond, VA. William was born in Richmond, VA on April 3, 1954. He attended St. Joseph Catholic School in Petersburg, VA, Sacred Heart Catholic School in Danville, VA, and graduated from George Washington High School. He then attended Virginia Tech. William was an avid golfer. He was an Assistant Pro at James River Country Club, Chairman of the Peninsula section of the Virginia State Golf Association, and he and his partner won the Swinging Bridge Tournament in Bel Air. William was co-owner of Hermitage Mortgage until retirement. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W. Washington St. Petersburg, VA. Interment will follow at St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Petersburg. In lieu of flowers, please consider Alzheimer's Association for donations.
