William Herndon

William â??Billâ? Howard Herndon, age 66, of Disputanta, VA, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2011 in Boydton, VA. He was born in Roanoke, VA, the son of the late William G. Herndon. Bill worked for approximately 40 years with Honeywell before retiring as a General Shift Supervisor. He was an avid boater, and since retiring spent most of his time at Buggs Island Lake, where he enjoyed helping his friends, and helping people in need. Bill is survived by his mother, Frances Noble Herndon of Roanoke, VA; sons, Cameron Scott Herndon and wife, Susan of Hanover, VA, Craig Herndon and wife, Andrea of Richmond, VA, and Barry Herndon and wife, Erin, of Richmond; a daughter, Kimberly H. Miller and husband, Martin of Midlothian, VA; two brothers, Jack Herndon and wife, Margaret of Louisa, VA, and Gene Herndon of Chester, VA; and four grandchildren, Annie Herndon, Megan Miller, Madison Miller, and Wyatt Herndon. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 1, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside funeral services will follow on Thursday, June 2, at 10 a.m. in the Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester.
