William Russell Hoffman

William Russell Hoffman, Sr., 57, of Chester, VA, passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2023, after a short battle with Pneumonia and complications of diabetes.
Russ was born on April 28, 1966, in D.C., to parents William and Gloria Hoffman. The family moved to Chester, VA, in 1972 where he and his three sisters grew up and called home.
Throughout his life, Russ met many people and made more friends than you could count. He was a people person and usually the life of the party. Russ always had a very lively and entertaining personality and was one of the most altruistic people you would ever meet. He was a man that put family first, a devoted husband, loving father, and proud pawpaw of 8 grandchildren.
Russ was preceded in death by his parents, William and Gloria; and grandson, Zachary. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah S. Hoffman; his son, Russ Hoffman Jr. (Amy); his three sisters, Karen Hoffman (Rebel), Patti Kidwell (Patrick), and Cindy Jordan (Steve); stepchildren, Jerry Quarles (Amy), Stacy Quarles (Johnny), and Alvin Seay; grandchildren, Randy Hoffman, Aubrey Hoffman, Dakota Hoffman, Kinsley Hoffman, Trevor Quarles, Grayson Wallace, Gabriella Wallace, and Ryland Seay; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Please join us in honoring and remembering Russ at J.T. Morriss & Son - Chester Chapel, Viewing will be Friday, January 5, 2024, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will be on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at 11:00 am.
