William Howard Graves

William â??Billâ? Howard Graves, 80, of Hopewell, passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2011. Mr. Graves was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He later retired from Titmus Optical after twenty dedicated years. Mr. Graves loved fishing. He was an avid artist who loved photography and still life paintings. He also enjoyed building and flying model planes. Mr. Graves was a devoted father and grandfather. He is preceded in death by his parents, Howard K. and Hazel Nice Graves; brother, Howard â??Howieâ? Graves; and sister, Lillian Perry. He is survived by his wife of sixty years, Earlene G. Graves; daughters, Deborah â??Debbieâ? G. Kitchen of Hopewell, Linda G. Jackson of Chester, and Pamela G. DeGraff of Chester; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Appomattox Cemetery in Hopewell.
