William Edward Hudson Iii

William Edward Hudson, III, 74, of Littleton, NC and formerly of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022. Born in Hopewell, VA, he was the son of the late William E. Hudson, Jr. and Selma Hendricks Hudson; and was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Hudson Stokes. Mr. Hudson was a United States Army veteran and had retired from Hercules, Inc. as a millwright after 38 years of dedicated service. He will be remembered by his family as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Hudson is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Brenda Hudson; four children, William E. Hudson IV (Sandra), Bradley C. Hudson (Jessica), Christine Walker (Daniel) and Justin Hudson (Sarah); thirteen grandchildren, Amber, Jansen, Emily, Samantha, Jacob, Hunter, Hannah, Logan, Travis, Trevor, Ryan, Colby and Dylan; one sister, Diana Tidwell; a brother, Steven Hudson; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
