Jenkins, William â??Billâ? Claude 75, of Chester, VA went to join the Lord on August 17. after a battle with cancer. He is preceded in death by his Son-Franklin Lee Jenkins, Granddaughter-Samantha West, Father-Charles Arthur Jenkins, Mother-Sallie Ellen Dunn Jenkins, Brothers-Robert Bruce Jenkins of Bluff City, TN, and Kermit â??Tommyâ? Edward Jenkins of Bristol, TN. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 28 years Germaine â??Gerryâ? Jenkins; his Daughter-Deborah Lynn Horne of Chester, VA, and Sons William Terrell Jenkins of Moorehead City, NC, Randall Eugene Helton and wife Belinda of Wake Forest, NC, Sister- Carmen -â??Peggyâ? Grace Richards and Husband Frank, Brothers James â??Kipâ? Clifton Jenkins and wife Dorothy of Bluff City TN, Clyde Dunn Jenkins and wife Evelyn of Bluff City, TN, 9 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, and retired from Smurfit â?? Stone in 1994, after 35 years of devoted service. Funeral services will be at JT Morris & Son in Chester, VA at 1pm on Monday, August 20 with Rev. Jackie Payne officiating and Interment to follow at Bermuda Memorial. The family will receive guests at the funeral home on Sunday, August 19 from 6 to 8pm. Pall Bearers will be Nephews Kevin Payne, Jackie Payne Jr, Edward Richards, Jimmy Richards, Grandson Riley Stoots, Friend Mike Reid, and Honorary Pall Bearer Louis Brickell.
