William Jr. Mannon

William Roy Mannon, Jr., age 76, of Chester, VA, died on Friday, August 24, 2007 after an extended illness. He was born in Radford, VA, the son of the late William R. Sr., and Blanche M. Mannon. William was retired from Honeywell Corp. after 35 years of service to the company, and was also a member of the local #94 Masonic Lodge, Chester. Preceding him in death are a sister, Opal Pannell and brother, Curtis Mannon. William is survived by a wife of 49 years, Cynthia B. Mannon; a son, William Roy Mannon III, and wife Leah; daughters, Rene Kidd King and husband Bill, and Tammy Morgan and husband Patrick; brothers, Tommy Mannon and Paul Mannon of Radford, VA; sisters, Mary Haynes and Teeny Jones also of Radford; nine grandchildren, William Roy Mannon IV, Andrea McBride, Cynthia Kidd, James Kidd, John Kidd, Katie King, Billy King, Luke Morgan, and Daniel Morgan; and a loving brother and sister in law. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Monday, August 27, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. Graveside Funeral Services will follow on Tuesday, at 2 p.m. in the Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA.
