William W. Lundquist â??K4LTKâ? 83, of Hopewell, VA, passed away on Thursday January 27, 2011. He was born in Worcester, MA, the son of the late Victor Harry and Ruth Adams Lundquist, attended Riverside Academic High School in Buffalo, NY, graduated from Northeastern University with a degree in Electrical Engineering, and was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII. He retired from Honeywell after 42 years of dedicated service as an Instrumentation Engineer, was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was an assistant Scout Master for Troop 923, was an amateur radio operator and a lifetime member of The American Radio Relay League, The Instrumentation System, and Automation Society, The Cousteau Society and The Nature Conservancy. Bill is survived by two daughters, Linda L. Crowe & husband Kevin of Nelson County, VA., Laura L. Slusser and her husband J. Michael of Prince George, VA, two sons, Conway Lundquist and Dawn Rosen of San Diego, CA, and William A. Lundquist of Asheville, NC, seven grandchildren, Amber and Ryan Lundquist, Kai and Bram Crowe-Getty, Jared, Evan and Molly Slusser. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday January 30, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends for one hour following the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Charity of your choice.
