William C. Merhout

William C. Merhout, 73, formerly of Prince George, VA and most recently of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Tuesday, September, 25 2018. He is survived by his step-father, Alfred D. Sabine; sister-in-law, Brenda Merhout; nieces, JoAnne Cole and Renee Smith; and nephew, Paul Merhout. William was a graduate of Prince George County High School. He served in the Virginia National Guard. He spent his working career in manufacturing and distribution. While in Virginia, William enjoyed being a member of the Eagles Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was most recently an active member of Most Holy Redeemers Catholic Church in Jacksonville, FL. He enjoyed being a man of God, watching football, and spending time with his nephew and nieces. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 5, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 151 W. Washington St. Petersburg, VA 23803. The family will receive friends one hour prior at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be donated to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
