William Aulick Rose, Jr., 79, of Dinwiddie, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Aulick, Sr., and Blanche Burton Rose; and first wife, Bonnie Carter Rose. Bill was a loyal member of Western Heights Baptist Church and was re-baptized at the age of 75. He loved Nascar Racing and was a big fan of Denny Hamlin. Bill worked hard all his life, beginning as a young boy. He worked up until age 79 when his illness forced him to quit. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne Adelaide Rose; two sons, William Richard Rose (Lee Ann), and Robert Bryant Rose; five grandchildren, Janet, Carter, Gina, Audra and Robbie; two great-grandchildren, Grayson and Christine; sister, Barbara Jean Swartz; and 10 nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M., on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Western Heights Baptist Church. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060. The family is being served by the Dinwiddie Chapel of J.T.
