William Franklin Royer, Jr. 85, of Prince George, died, Tuesday, January 18, 2005 in Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born in Reedsville. Pa. Mr. Royer served with the U.S. Army during WW II and was a retired sheet metal worker for Allied Signal Corp. He was a member of the Claremont Masonic Lodge #177, a member of Brandon Episcopal Church, a charter member of Burrowsville Volunteer Fire Department, and Burrowsville Ruritan Club. He was the son of the late William F. and Stella Worrell Royer, Sr. Surviving are his wife Nellie Nicol Royer, a son, Barry Royer and his wife Marie, a daughter, Janice Collins and husband Ken , three grandchildren, Alecia & William Royer and Krystal Collins all of Prince George and five brothers and five sisters in Lewistown, Pa. A Masonic Memorial Service will be held Thursday, January 20, 2005 at 7PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with visitation to follow until 8:30 PM. A funeral service will be Friday, January 21, 2005 at 1:00Pm in the Hopewell Chapel with Rev. Macon Walton, officiating. Interment will follow in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George.
