William Smith

William Beach Smith, 71, of Virginia Beach, a devoted Christian went to his eternal reward at Sentara Bayside Hospital in Virginia Beach on Thursday, February 12, 2004. Mr. Smith was born in Dinwiddie County, Virginia and was predeceased by his father Joseph H. Smith. A man who was very much loved by his family, he is survived by his mother, Mary Beach Smith, his wife, Carol J. Smith, , a daughter Nancy S. O’Quin, a son, William Beach Smith, Jr., 2 step-children, Jason P. Hooper and Megan E. Hooper, a brother J. H. Smith, III, 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. A graveside service will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, February 14, 2004 in Blandford Cemetery with Rev. Jason P. Hooper Director of Youth Ministries of the Light of Life Christian Fellowship in Virginia Beach. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers contributions be made in his memory to FaithFire Ministries, PMB 110, 1400 Kempsville Rd, Suite 105, Chesapeake, VA 23320. The family is being served by the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
