William Alfred â??Dukeâ? Thompson, 53, of Chester passed away on Friday, October 26, 2007. Born in Portsmouth, VA he was the son of the late Robert Henry Thompson and Josephine Rossi Thompson and uncle of the late Christopher T. Thompson. Duke worked for Phillip Morris for 30 years. He is survived by his wife, Vivian Melton Thompson; children, William Alfred Thompson, Jr., Douglas Allen Thompson and wife, Jennifer Fulcher Thompson and Jennifer Nicole Thompson; siblings, Bobby Thompson and wife, Linda, Anne Wells and husband, Carlton, Thomas Thompson and wife, Margie, Charlie Thompson, Donald Thompson, and Jane Ricks and husband, Jon; brother-in-law, Larry Melton; 19 nieces and nephews and 8 great nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service tonight from 6 to 8 pm.
