William D. “Bill” Venci, 81, of Chester, VA passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2018. Born on August 19, 1937 in Kenosha, WI he was the son of the late Antonio and Angeline Principe Venci; and was also preceded in death by his siblings, Eleanor Covelli, Buttista Venci and George Venci. Mr. Venci was a graduate of Bradford High School in Kenosha, WI and had served in the United States Naval Reserves for eight years between 1954 and 1962. He has worked for American Motors for 16 years, and had also worked for McDonald’s and 7-11. The last 23 years he spent working at Food Lion in Chester where he promoted the Children’s Miracle Network. Bill was awarded the Edward L. Senter Fire Chief’s Medal for his support to the local Fire and EMS Stations, and was also a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights. He was a lifelong avid Packers and Cubs fan and had a deep passion for music. He is survived by his two daughters, Jacqueline Frisinger and husband, Michael and Angela Miller and husband, Jim; grandchildren, Michael Quentin, Jr. (Lisa), Miranda Frisinger, Adam and Rose Frisinger of WV and Sarah Frisinger of WV; a great-grandson, Aiden Frisinger of WV; one brother, Anthony Venci of Kenosha, WI; two close friends, Jean and Gary Field; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a friend to everyone and worked hard to make everyone feel as if they were his family. He loved to make people laugh but his greatest love in life was his family. A funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church, with Fr. Danny Cogut, Celebrant. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Colonial Heights. The family is being served by the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home.
