William H. Washington, 85, of Richmond died Friday, October 14, 2005 at McGuire VA Hospice. He was in the 84th Infantry Division, Rail-splitters Society Inc., American Legion Post #284, Masonic Lodge #94, Chester, Lifetime member of VFW Post 2239, Scottish Rite of Freemasonry, Disabled American Veterans and Veterans of the Battle of the Bulge. He is survived by his wife, Crystal H. Washington; son, William W. Washington (Teresa) of Midlothian; step-son, Clyde E. Perdue of Blacksburg, VA; and sister, Alice W. Burnham of Butler, AL; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chesterfield Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will be in Centralia Cemetery. A VFW memorial service will be held Sunday at 6 p.m. with the family receiving friends after the service until 8 p.m. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to McGuire Hospital, the Hospice of Central Virginia and especially Dr. Liva Sylvia for their care and concern during Mr. Washington?s illness.
