William Harrison Wilson, 77, of Church Rd., Virginia, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his family May 23, 2024. Born and raised in Colonial Heights, VA, he was the son of the late William T. Wilson and Frances D. Wilson Barr. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather and Uncle. He began his adult life serving in the US Navy. Following his discharge from the Navy, he returned home and began his lifelong passion working with cars and became a master mechanic. His abilities extended well beyond repairing vehicles. Billy could fix anything. In his early years, he excelled at drag racing. He enjoyed being outdoors, which included boating and gardening. He was a loyal and good friend to many.
In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his daughter Tammy, and stepdaughter, Amy. He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Mary Belle H. Wilson; a brother, Thomas Wilson (wife, Kathy); a sister, Nancy W. Brooks (husband, Earl); daughters, Andria, Leslee, and Kaydee; sons, Johnny, Tommy and stepsons, Jimmy and Adam; 16 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home in Dinwiddie with visitation at 1:00 p.m. and funeral service at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 with Father Hakpon officiating. Interment will be at Blandford Cemetery in Petersburg. Donations can be made to Crater Community Hospice. We would like to say thank you with great appreciation and love for the care given to our precious Billy by Tracee and Rob. Special thanks to dear friend and caregiver Susan Pully for her love and dedication throughout the past two years.
