Wilma Jean Dixon, 88, of Prince George, VA, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Born in McCaysville, GA, she was the daughter of the late Haden K. and Gladys Welch Millsap; and was also preceded in death by her first husband, Billy D. Botts; her second husband, Bobby C. Dixon; and her son, Danny L. Botts. Mrs. Botts was retired from Safeway after many years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Edgehill Church of Christ and was a staunch member of the Republican Party. Mrs. Dixon will be remembered by her family as a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. The family would like to thank Wilma's three dedicated caregivers, Kay Bigley, Michelle Schulte, and Lisa Boyle, for their love and care shown to her. She is survived by her three sons, Terry Botts (Debbie), Terry Dixon (Melissa), and Gerry Dixon (Gillian); ten grandchildren, Brandie, Ryan, Brandon, Caitlyn, Kimberly, Terry Jr., Stacy, Christopher, Tyler, and Gregory; fourteen great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. The family receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Mobile Baptist Church Cemetery in McCaysville, GA, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Alzheimer's Association or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Wilma Dixon.
